Ensaio sobre a cegueira: uma análise foucaultiana do discurso

Abstract

This work aims to analyze the discourses that build female representativeness in the essay Ensaio Sobre a Cegueira from the Foucautian analyzes, as well as to understand the social and discursive position of the woman subject in the essay Ensaio sobre a Cegueira by José Saramago. The choice of this theme is also justified by a concern to analyze the female role from the work already mentioned, which will contribute significantly to the enrichment and learning in their professional performance, as well as showing that such concern is not new , more that has as its basic purpose of redirecting concepts and research on the female figure to be seen from a new perspective, seeking to reinforce the importance of once again how this theme can be developed within the most varied contexts. Therefore, for the preparation of the monograph at the end of the course, we used bibliographic research, with emphasis on Critical Discourse Analysis, aiming to demonstrate how women are protagonized, based on the discourse in the essay Ensaio Sobre a Cegueira, as well as on representativeness feminine and the power relation, besides, present some considerations the speech of Foucault and the representation of the woman. Since the discourse for Foucault goes beyond words, his signs, for him all these are correlated with the practices of power, that is, they are together with the social practices, and for this reason, they will remain trapped because it is not properly in the subject, but in your speech. This study was carried out based on renowned authors who are dedicated to studying discourse analysis and related areas, all of which are registered at the end in the bibliographic references. The text is presented in four sessions, where in the first we present the introduction, in the second, we discuss the historical panorama of Critical Discourse Analysis, where we briefly present the line of study of the main theorists of the theme, as well as their influencers and the corresponding historical period. In the third, we discuss the discursive representations in the novel and about female participation in society, a subject that, although much discussed, is always current and necessary, due to its importance. Also in this chapter, we discuss the relationship between Foucault's speech and the female characters in the work under analysis. Finally, in the fourth session we present the final considerations
