Os distintos falares brasileiros: as concepções de Marcos Bagno sobre o preconceito linguístico na sociedade brasileira

Abstract

This paper addresses the considerations of linguist Marcos Bagno about linguistic prejudice in Brazilian society. And to expose this theme, a bibliographical study was conducted, based on the conceptions of Saussure (1970), Marcuschi (2007), Signorini (2002), Soares (2007), Bagno (2007), among other renowned ones that bring reflections in the area of also referring to the National Curriculum Parameters-PCNs, which guide the educational guidelines. In this aspect, it is necessary to expose the conception of language, the image of standard Portuguese disseminated in society and the linguistic variations, relating them to society, since understanding them is fundamental to understand the root causes of prejudice. This, which will be explained before Bagno's conceptions, with the analysis of linguistic prejudice in the books "linguistic prejudice what is, how it is done"; <The language of Eulalia: sociolinguistic novel= and <Nothing in the language is by chance: for a pedagogy of linguistic variation=. Thus, it is extremely important to discuss a theme related to education and Brazilian society, so that the discussions listed here, serve as reflections to soften this social practice.
