Pescado e derivados apreendidos em fiscalização volante agropecuária no Estado do Maranhão no período de 2013 a 2017

Abstract

The introduction of etiological agents of diseases through the irregular transport of products of animal origin (POA) represents a sanitary relevance for animal and public health. The affected countries suffer severe losses due to the decrease and devaluation of the POAs and the limitations imposed by international markets, making it difficult to develop them. In this context, the objective of the study was to evaluate the terms of apprehension of fish and derivatives drawn up in agricultural and livestock inspection in Maranhão from 2013 to 2017. For this purpose, the terms of apprehension of the State Agency for Agricultural and Livestock Defense of Maranhão were used. including activities carried out in fixed agricultural inspection and blitz posts by the Official Veterinary Service. During the survey period, 64 agricultural flyers were carried out and 5,690 vehicles inspected. The most seized type of fish was the fish totaling 11,356 kg and in different forms (live, whole, gutted, salted dry and filleted). The most recurrent traffic violation in the State of Maranhão was the lack of documentation of origin of the product, be it the invoice, animal transit guide, production bulletin and sanitary inspection certificates. All the infractions drawn up by the SVO resulted in the seizure of the products transported, in fine and in some cases destruction of the products transported. Regarding fines, R$ 20,141.00 were recorded in the five years of the survey. It is concluded that the transit of fish and derivatives in Maranhão still happens in disagreement with the current traffic legislation, which may compromise public health in the State. And, still, that agricultural flyers are a tool of the animal health defense fundamental to restrain and to discipline the transit of animals and their by-products. In addition, to guide the carriers on the importance of compliance with the laws of transit of products of animal origin.
