Entre a adoração à Virgem Maria e o culto a Satã: uma análise dos poemas de Maranhão Sobrinho

Abstract

This present work has the general objective of analyzing the images of women in the poems Santa, Rainha do Mal, Bacante and Salomé, taking into account the following aspects: the angel/devil, the femme fatale, the dead woman, the mother woman and other punctuations, contained in the first-born work, Papéis Velhos Roídos pela traça do Symbolo , produced by Maranhão Sobrinho, a writer from Maranhão, with the aim of also verifying the paradoxical relationships that permeate the vision of women in the decadent perspective of symbolism, in addition to contributing to the appreciation of literature maranhense, especially from the 20th century. In addition to revisiting other poets of this period such as: Inácio Xavier de Carvalho and Frutuoso Ferreira, in order to draw a brief overview of the Symbolist manifestations in a decadent aspect in Maranhão's literature of the 20th century. As specific objectives, we seek to know relevant aspects of the decadent symbolist aesthetics in which the work Papéis Velhos gnawed, by the Symbolo moth, is inserted. It is noteworthy that the scope of this research is based on assumptions in the area of Literary Theory, Analysis and Literary History, as well as authors in the area of psychoanalysis, such as the study of female archetypes and theorists in the area of study of memory, culture and researchers on the life and work of the author Maranhão Sobrinho.
