Reconstrução da identidade feminina na obra O Quinze de Raquel de Queiroz

Abstract

In studying Brazilian literature, we are faced with works by consecrated authors who portray facts related to the reality of their time. Although these works have been written in previous centuries, we realize that there is a representation of the real, close to what we experience today. Thus, by mentioning social problems, the country's life and the incessant pursuit of women's freedom of expression, it is essential to remember the fifteen, the debut novel by author Rachel de Queiroz. In this work, in addition to the recurring themes about drought, the pertinent questions about the role of women in society of 1930, as well as the imprisonment of their rights, pervaded, which made reflecting and seeking answers to this problem raised by this work. Therefore, the general objective was to understand and show how Raquel de Queiroz reconstructs female identity in the novel "The Fifteen". The methodology used was the bibliographic research, developed based on materials published in books, magazines, articles, works such as theses and dissertations found in the Google and Scielo databases and printed material. At the end of the research, it was concluded that the work dialogues with sociology, psychology, genetic criticism, and mainly, was relevant in understanding the wishes of women of that time, showing that, despite the scourge of drought and Of an apparent fragility of northeastern women, there have always been women who changed the prospects of their time and tried to show their other values before society.
