Androginismo na obra "O cortiço": uma relação biológica e psicológica em Rita Baiana e Pombinha

Abstract

The present work sought to understand how Androginism acts in the tenement, through the profile of Rita Baiana and Pombinha in the work <O Cortiço=, by Aluísio Azevedo, in order to observe the changes in the representation of the characters. For this, the studies of Azevedo(2012) and <Plato and the theories of Freud were used as theoreticians, which helped to clarify where Androginism emerged and how it is implanted in society, and the vision of beings who possess it and the difference between other people in society at the time. And the chosen theme was based on the infinity of study possibilities in the work O Cortiço. A book that in its lines shows the people and the social face of a collectivity loaded with prejudices, in order to know what behaviors are seen in Rita and Pombinha in <O Cortiço=, when they struggle to gain recognition in society? Therefore, the main objectives were: To identify how Rita Baiana acts to the social ailments of the tenement; analyze the way in which Rita and Pombinha are placed by the characters; discuss how Rita changes her profile in pursuit of her interests. With this work, it was possible to elucidate such questions, with the following methodological order: bibliographically, considering that the approached object is based on the literature and the work of Plato and investigation of the woman in the work through the psychoanalytic theory, represented by two characters. For this, it will be necessary to read articles, reviews and records to support the theory presented and thus arrive at the corpus of the research and analyze it. And before that, it was possible to observe the change of Rita Baiana and Pombinha.
