O Ensino de História sobre as organizações contrárias à Ditadura Civil Militar brasileira a luz das obras de militantes e militares (1968-1975)

Abstract

The study presented here is a discussion about the organizations that opposed the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship and how they are portrayed in History Teaching, under the perspective of the historiography on what has been written and discussed and the military point of view. The branches of the military saw these organizations and similar topics regarding the dictatorship between 1964 to 1985 as a threat, dealing with them on a negationist level and not considering the academic work provided, therefore, our first action was to understand these discussions of the negationism and revisionism of the regime. The schoolbook is a fundamental piece of the puzzle when it comes to evaluate the teaching of History in the classroom, and due to its influence, we analyzed the following books Ciências Humanas: Política, Conflitos e Cidadania and A Conquista da História, with our main objective being to understand how they present the dictatorial period and the organizations which resisted the oppression, which later revelated the main topics omitted and also confirmed a systematic erasure of their existence. To better illustrate our main hypothesis, we researched the distribution of both schoolbooks on the schools in the state of Maranhão, something that proved they were and are still used in a great number of educational institutions. Finally, a historiographic debate about the main organizations was held, and the main sources of information were the books A VPR 3 Uma Vanguarda Popular Revolucionária (2021) and the Orvil (2012). The first provided an interpersonal perspective of its members and their theorical discussions, and the second led to an understanding of the internal treatment the military reserved to these organizations.
