Abstract

This work treats of a proposal of implantation of popular house and urban decay for a section of the neighborhood of Germany. Approaches the problem of the habitational deficit, describing the situations found in Brazil and considering the typologies of sub-houses. As well as the urbanization process in the Country and in the city of São Luís. It comments about experiences of interventions urbanistic in the Country, that were successful, and they are framed in the proposals of this work. The area in study is emphasized, from your historical abbreviation, the residents' profile economical partner, until your physical characterization, involving topographical studies, of infrastructure, and of use and occupation of the soil. It proposes solutions for the found problems, with the objective of the improvement of the quality of the inhabitants' of the area life and of adjacent areas, through the urban restructuring of the place, and with the objective of impeding the growth of the existent environmental problems.
