Creche para atender aos moradores do Centro Histórico de São Luís

Abstract

This work has as general objective the elaboration of a project of rehabilitation of the remained no. 559, located in Rua da Estrela, Praia Grande, for the running of a daycare center to attend the residents of the Historic center of São Luís, describing their particularities and characteristics, inserting them in the general context of the existent construction. Now the building is in accelerated degradation process, being of great importance the recovery of the same. The study was based in the history of the building, their constructive and architectural characteristics, so that, with the adaptation, don't be attacked none of their singularities, harmonizing the building with the main needs of the day care. The creation of a day care was prioritized due to the lack of the same in the central area of São Luís, hindering like this the mothers' life that need to work, but they don't have with whom leaves their children. The project seeks to assist children from 0 to 3 years, has as priority to establish a relationship between game and education, making child understands that education is important and acquire pleasure in studying. Besides facilitating the families’ life, the child's insertion is prioritized in an appropriate social space for his/her personal and professional formation.
