Leitura na sala de aula: uma perspectiva literária na Escola Municipal Silvestre Fernandes Rocha

Abstract

This research proposes a study whose title is READING IN THE CLASSROOM: A Literary Perspective at the Municipal School Silvestre Fernandes Rocha. In this way, the general objective is to offer resources that can help in learning in the field of literature and encouraging, in the school environment, the habit of literary reading in the 8th and 9th grade of elementary school II. This research presents qualitative methodology, bibliographic research and field research, so that one can complement the other and, together, can contribute to a broader view of the proposed question, since the fundamental point is to assimilate why literary reading is worked in a limited way in the Elementary School grades. To compose the structural body and respond to the investigated objective, the research included an investigation with teachers of the 8th and 9th grade of elementary school in the aforementioned municipal public school, located in the city of Zé Doca - MA, with a total of 52 students in these two years of teaching. After the qualitative questionnaire, we approached conceptions of authors and literary critics to emphasize the central basis of all statements. The results obtained through this study show that students enjoy the practice of reading, but it is essential to work with texts that are interesting to them and that have meaning in their lives
