Resumo:	O presente trabalho busca compreender como o gênero é construído a partir das relações sociais e culturais que são marcadas pelas relações de poder e discurso. Procura-se entender como o discurso é um elemento importante dento da construção da identidade de gênero, principalmente o discurso heteronormativo construído em uma matriz heterossexual que impõe regras sobre essa categoria. Busca-se compreender como se dá a construção do gênero no interior da sociedade ocidental e como a matriz heterossexual contribui para a visão binária dos gêneros homem e mulher, por fim, pretende-se com esse trabalho discutir acerca da construção do gênero dentro do discurso e como a identidade de gênero pode se desconstruir a partir dessa perspectiva de que o gênero é uma construção histórica e discursiva. A pesquisa tem como metodologia a abordagem qualitativa e bibliográfica, objetivando explicar sobre os fenômenos acerca da construção das identidades de gênero e da binaridade imposta sobre essa categoria. Como fundamentação teórica os filósofos Michel Foucault e Judith Butler são de extrema importância. Tendo em vista que a pesquisa desses autores analisa pontos essenciais que serão abordados nesse trabalho, como o conceito de gênero, de poder e de discurso. A obra História da sexualidade: a vontade de saber (2015) de Foucault e a obra Problemas de gênero: feminismo e subversão das identidades (2021) de Butler são obras fundamentais dentro da estrutura dessa pesquisa para entender sobre a identidade de gênero como um conceito, uma categoria construída dentro das malhas do discurso. Portanto, se torna necessário analisar o conceito de discurso e poder a luz das teorias de Michel Foucault e analisar o conceito de gênero a luz das teorias de Judith Butler, pois ao teorizar sobre o conceito de gênero, Butler faz uma análise de como o poder articulado com o discurso constroem a identidade de gênero. O estudo acerca do gênero é de extrema importância devido a relação que tem com a subjetividade do sujeito. Toda pessoa é atravessada pelos discursos que abarcam a noção de gênero, portanto, todo sujeito é marcado e transformado por esses discursos. Analisar, compreender e entender as formações discursivas por trás da noção de gênero permite abrir possibilidades para novas identidades de gênero que não sigam a linearidade sexo\gênero\ desejo, isto é, que não sigam as normas do discurso heteronormativo. Estudar sobre o conceito de gênero é estudar sobre a formação do próprio sujeito dentro da cultura e da sociedade. Dessa forma, pesquisar sobre o gênero abre espaços para discursões mais amplas sobre essa categoria, abarcando novas identidades de gênero excluídas pela matriz heterossexual, ou seja, abre espaço para resistências e subversão do gênero dentro do discurso heteronormativo
Resumo:	This work seeks to understand how gender is constructed from social and cultural relations that are marked by relations of power and discourse. We seek to understand how discourse is an important element within the construction of gender identity, especially heteronormative discourse constructed in a heterosexual matrix that imposes rules on this category. It seeks to understand how the construction of gender takes place within Western society and how the heterosexual matrix contributes to the binary view of the genders man and woman. Finally, this work aims to discuss the construction of gender within the discourse and how gender identity can be deconstructed from this perspective that gender is a historical and discursive construction. The research methodology uses a qualitative and bibliographical approach, aiming to explain the phenomena surrounding the construction of gender identities and the binarity imposed on this category. As a theoretical foundation, philosophers Michel Foucault and Judith Butler are extremely important. Considering that the research of these authors analyzes essential points that will be addressed in this work, such as the concept of gender, power and discourse. The work History of sexuality: the will to know (2015) by Foucault and the work Problems of gender: feminism and subversion of identities (2021) by Butler are fundamental works within the structure of this research to understand gender identity as a concept, a category constructed within the fabric of discourse. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the concept of discourse and power in the light of Michel Foucault's theories and to analyze the concept of gender in the light of Judith Butler's theories, because when theorizing about the concept of gender, Butler makes an analysis of how power articulated with the discourse, they construct gender identity. The study of gender is extremely important due to the relationship it has with the subjectivity of the subject. Every person is crossed by discourses that encompass the notion of gender, therefore, every subject is marked and transformed by these discourses. Analyzing, understanding and understanding the discursive formations behind the notion of gender allows opening possibilities for new gender identities that do not follow the sex\gender\desire linearity, that is, that do not follow the norms of heteronormative discourse. Studying the concept of gender is studying the formation of the subject within culture and society. In this way, researching gender opens up spaces for broader discussions about this category, encompassing new gender identities excluded by the heterosexual matrix, that is, it opens up space for resistance and subversion of gender within the heteronormative discourse
