A representação do arquétipo feminino na literatura e sua influência na sociedade: uma análise da obra "Mulheres que correm com os lobos" de Clarissa Pinkola Estés

Abstract

This study focuses on the representation of the female archetype in literature and its influence on society, based on an analysis of the work "Women Who Run with the Wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estés. Currently, archetypes and stereotypes exert significant influences on social and cultural formation, configuring the way people see and interact with the world around them. This work was chosen due to its unique and profound approach to the female psyche, being relevant to the study of female archetypes. Thus, the general objective of this work is to analyze the representation of female archetypes in four short stories from the work "Women Who Run with the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype" by Clarissa Pinkola Estés, in the context of deconstructing gender stereotypes and promoting a broader understanding of female identity in contemporary times. For this purpose, the short stories Bluebeard; The Ugly Duckling; The Red Shoes and The Maiden Without Hands were selected. A qualitative methodology based on bibliographic research was adopted, which consisted of reviewing and analyzing the available literature on the subject. The results of this study made it possible to observe that Estés, from the perspective of Jungian psychology, uses myths, fairy tales and ancestral history to identify and rescue relevant aspects of the female psyche, the wild nature of women and encourages them to delve deeper into their inner selves, into self-knowledge, strengthening self-esteem and contributing to the construction of a fuller female identity, free from the limitations imposed by society
