Centro de Educação Física e Desporto na Polícia Militar do Maranhão: uma proposta de implantação

Abstract

This work aimed to propose the implementation of the Physical Education and Sport Center of the Military Police of Maranhão. We had as base the most traditional military institutions in the country, seeking to achieve the benefits brought by physical education. Some steps to get there were presented for the benefits of physical education for a society, such as the Physical Education management sectors in military institutions, and to verify how Physical Education works in the Military Police of Maranhão. Therefore, it was used as a method of data collection in bibliographic research, through a catalog of books, articles, and document sources according to a thematic proposal for the content raised in the theoretical reference. Based on military institutions that have the Physical Education sector, the results presented point to the importance of this institutional policy. We sought to base their funds on the benefits brought by the Physical Education to the troops, following the management model of other military institutions and by verifying the demand to be met in the Physical Education by the Military Police of Maranhão. Finally, through the study carried out it was possible to realize that a proposal is feasible from an institutional point of view, having demand, physical and human structure, using the best way to manage important science in the internal public
