The research was conducted at C.E. Paulo VI, a public school in São Luís – MA, with 3rd-year high school classes, and included the application of four experiments related to previously taught theoretical content. Practical activities were planned to integrate theory and practice, using alternative materials whenever necessary due to resource scarcity. The results indicated that experimental classes aroused greater interest among students, fostering better understanding of the content and increased engagement. Despite structural and time limitations, the experiments proved to be effective tools for consolidating scientific knowledge and stimulating critical thinking. Thus, the study reinforces the importance of experimentation in Chemistry teaching as a fundamental pedagogical method to enrich and make learning more meaningful.
