Abstact: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the differences in the quality perspective of two certification programs, ISO 9001:2008 and PROCEM. Initially, quality concepts, the ISO 9000 series and ISO 9001:2008 were reviewed. The functioning of the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system was presented based on the principle of the process approach used by the standard. The methodology used was documentary research, since it used documentary data from PROCEM and ISO 9001:2008. The research was qualitative and quantitative because it defined the relationships between requirements and quantified them. The method used classified the type of relationship found in the certification requirements by defining whether the requirements have a complete, partial or no relationship. Subsequently, PROCEM and its objectives, implementation cycle, requirements and audit requirements for requirements compliance were analyzed. The comparative analysis was carried out based on the requirements that the ISO 9001:2008 requirements have, and relating these with the requirements of the PROCEM requirements. Finally, the research concluded that of the 222 requirements of ISO 9001:2008, 49 of them have a complete relationship with PROCEM, 35 have a partial relationship and 138 requirements have no relationship with PROCEM</description>

Abstact: Rail transport is consolidating more and more as a powerful instrument of national economic&#xD;
development, where the railways are increasingly challenged to provide quality services at&#xD;
competitive prices. For this programming operations should serve as a tool for operational&#xD;
improvement, since problems of railway scheduling resources are of great complexity. Aimed&#xD;
at reconciling demand and time scheduling an operation can be understood as a detailed&#xD;
timeline that shows when the work should begin and when they should end. The research&#xD;
aims to develop a graphical programming tool in production that can increase operational&#xD;
integration between rail and loading terminal of the company's North Valley system. From a&#xD;
case study of an applied nature of the research focuses on a quantitative and qualitative&#xD;
analysis of exploratory and descriptive nature. A trade-off analysis between operational&#xD;
indicators of the loading process is performed in order to confirm that the application of this&#xD;
tool is able to meet the objective of the research</description>

Abstact: The problem of water shortage has worsened every decade in the world. The amount of usable&#xD;
water in the world is little and poorly distributed. Part of the Middle East, Africa and Central&#xD;
America are already lacking water, and this scenario is making desalination of seawater&#xD;
something increasingly attractive, especially for the regions mentioned. However,&#xD;
desalination of sea water also has its obstacles. The processes for desalinating water are also&#xD;
generators of waste. The water treatment plants generate enormous amounts of sludge, being&#xD;
necessary to seek alternatives for reusing these wastes in order to not harm the environment.&#xD;
This research aims to analyze alternatives of seawater desalination in the world, discoursing&#xD;
about the use of their main residue and verify, by experimental way, the feasibility of using&#xD;
this waste in the ceramic industry</description>

Abstact: The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is an important tool of strategic management, as quest&#xD;
translate fundamentals of strategic planning indicators that can be monitored and controlled.&#xD;
This study aimed to develop a Strategic Map for a small company in the clothing industry&#xD;
using the BSC tool. It is an applied research, in the form of case study, qualitative approach to&#xD;
fashion. A literature review of topics related to the BSC, and on textile sector was taken. It&#xD;
was found that prior to implementation of the BSC industries from textiles research existed,&#xD;
so three surveys were selected and analyzed the results. To achieve results an analysis of data&#xD;
included in the strategic planning of the company for definitions of organizational objectives&#xD;
was taken. From this definition the company's strategy was determined. After the strategy was&#xD;
chosen a strategic objective for each perspective, and from it were defined indicators which&#xD;
were consolidated in the presentation of the Strategic Map, being shown along with its&#xD;
relations of cause and effect. It is proposed that the result is added to the existing management&#xD;
structure so it can be objectified growth achieved by the company</description>
