Expressividade linguística e literária: uma proposta de letramento a partir da obra adailtoniana

Título: Expressividade linguística e literária: uma proposta de letramento a partir da obra adailtoniana
Abstact: There is a growing need to make reading an engaging activity for school-age youth.
This stands out as a challenge when, within the school environment, reading practices
are perceived by students as monotonous and unappealing. Recognizing that literary
production must also captivate its target audience, authors employ expressive
resources that enrich the text, infusing it with emotion and multiple meanings, which
are unveiled through the interaction between text and reader. Therefore, it is essential
to highlight authors who make productive use of such expressive resources to enhance
their literary creations. In the context of Caxias, literary criticism has immortalized
Gonçalves Dias, however, many others have followed in the footsteps of the Indianist
poet, among them, Adailton Medeiros, a native of Caxias with seven published books.
His extensive literary production remains unknown to his fellow citizens, which opens
the door to research that highlights his great expressive potential, broadly explored in
both his poetic and prose writings. Consequently, this bibliographic, qualitative, and
interpretative study aims to introduce the author, Adailton Medeiros; to highlight, in
Adailton’s literary production, the linguistic mechanisms the poet utilizes to generate
expressiveness; to analyze the importance of stylistic resources in shaping Adailton
Medeiros’ literary output; and to demonstrate, through a methodological proposal, the
relevance of Medeiros’ oeuvre to the development of literary literacy. Thus, by bringing
Adailton Medeiros’ production to the fore, this research seeks to valorize his expressive
potential through a literacy proposal, influenced by stylistics, introducing young readers
to the books of a fellow citizen who, through his distinctive style, translated the most
diverse themes of everyday life in a simple way, thereby encouraging reading and
sharing of literary experiences

Narrativas sobre as mudanças climáticas no x: um estudo semiolinguístico do discurso político-ideológico de direita

Título: Narrativas sobre as mudanças climáticas no x: um estudo semiolinguístico do discurso político-ideológico de direita
Abstact: This study aims to analyze discourses on climate change produced by right-wing political profiles on the X (Twitter) platform, drawing on the framework of semiolinguistic discourse analysis. The research is based on the premise that the platform constitutes a central arena for narrative and ideological contestation regarding this topic. A qualitative, bibliographic methodology was adopted, and the corpus consists of seven posts by right-wing politicians, collected between 2023 and 2025. The research stages included a theoretical review, corpus selection, and an analysis of linguistic resources and discursive strategies. The analysis identified three main axes of meaning construction within these narratives: scientific denialism, the downplaying of climate urgency, and the politicization of the issue as a "culture war." Finally, the study discusses how these strategies operate within the communicative contract of X to foster persuasion and reinforce worldviews. The work concludes by demonstrating how semiolinguistic analysis reveals the interplay between language, power, and ideology in the digital sphere.

A necessidade da legalização do signwriting e sua importância para a comunidade surda

Título: A necessidade da legalização do signwriting e sua importância para a comunidade surda
Abstact: In recent decades, advancing discussions on bilingual education and the linguistic rights of deaf individuals have highlighted the central role of Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) as a language of instruction, identity, and knowledge production. However, despite the legal recognition of Libras in Brazil, there remains a lack of an officially regulated written form, which limits the full exercise of literacy, linguistic autonomy, and social participation for the deaf community. Problem: the need to understand why SignWriting—a system capable of graphically recording sign languages—has not yet been legally recognized in the country, and to examine the impacts of this absence on the educational and sociocultural spheres. Rationale: the urgent need to expand the debate on linguistic citizenship, educational equity, and the guarantee of historically neglected rights. General objective: to emphasize the need for the legalization of SignWriting by highlighting the challenges, progress made, and its importance in strengthening the linguistic citizenship of the deaf community. Methodology: this is a bibliographic study based on the analysis of books, scientific articles, official documents, and legislation, sourced from databases such as SciELO, CAPES Periódicos, Google Scholar, and institutional repositories. Results: findings indicate that, although SignWriting is already significantly used in pedagogical practices, cultural productions, and educational materials, its lack of regulation prevents its systematic incorporation into curricula, public policies, and formal teaching processes. Conclusion: the legalization of SignWriting is essential to ensure the right to literacy in one's native language, strengthen the linguistic and cultural identity of the deaf community, and promote greater equity in access to education and text production, thereby contributing to the development of inclusive and socially just educational practices.

Abstact: Literature plays a fundamental role in the development of human intellectuality, contributing to the improvement of language, critical thinking, and reading and writing skills. Considering such contributions to the educational context, this monograph presents an analysis of the methodological practices carried out in the extension project “Literary Reading: A Proposal to Dynamize Classes,” developed between 2023 and 2025 with 7th-grade students at Unidade Integrada Presidente John Kennedy, in Caxias, Maranhão. The project was structured around the use of literary texts, with the aim of fostering students’ reading development. The activities were organized into biweekly workshops during the first year and weekly workshops thereafter, providing students with direct contact with different literary genres through interactive practices such as reading circles, writing activities, and playful tasks, which enabled engagement with regional, national, and international works. The theoretical framework supporting the proposal draws on authors such as Cosson (2011, 2015 and 2021), Resende (2003), Bosi (2002), Solé (1998), Frantz (2001), and Rocha (2014), among others. The results revealed significant improvements in students’ reading and writing competencies, evident in the textual productions developed throughout the project, which demonstrated greater cohesion, creativity, and depth literary interpretations.
