With the inclusion of children in schools, it was felt the need to adapt them so that they could have contact with this genre and consequently have pleasure in reading. Based on this assumption, this research has as its theme “The contribution of fairy tales to the awakening of reading”. However, it came from the following question: what are the contributions of fairy tales to the awakening of reading? In view of the problem was set as a general objective: to analyze the contributions that fairy tales bring to the awakening of reading and training of the reader. And as specific objectives: identify the origin of fairy tales; the tales in ancient Greece; Middle Ages; modern and contemporary, present different versions of the tale “Little Red Riding Hood”; characterize fairy tales as well as their use in the classroom for the formation of readers; recognize the importance of fairy tales for the development of reading and critical thinking of the reader. The research is bibliographic with a qualitative approach. The sources used were books, dissertations, monographs, articles, magazines and online database. For this we use the contributions of researchers Paiva (1990), Vicente (2014), Bastos (2015) and others. Ingá in São José dos Basilies - MA have influenced the cultural identity and the use of language reflected in the speech act of the inhabitants of the Ingá village. The mentioned monograph is justified on the premise that language is a powerful tool, and one of the main means of communication, being in turn mediator of man to transmit his culture, and thus the main objective is to analyze the existing variants within the language. orality of the elderly, considered constitutive elements of the identity of this community. Also having as specific objectives, verify the linguistic variety of the elderly, identify the linguistic influence of the elderly in the cultural construction of their community, present the dimensions that provide the varieties in the village and expose the importance of language varieties for the enrichment of Ingá village identity in São José dos Basilíos-MA. This research has as a theme: The kinds of texts: An analysis of the application of the teaching of reading in the subject of the Portuguese language at the School of Ana Joaquina de Araújo. The work becomes relevant for the reason that the school has been facing questions relating to the development of education in the practice of reading. As follows, the interest for this study arose from the concern in analysis of the way the kinds of texts can be and are contributing to the training of the reader. Qualitative and quantitative field research and bibliographic research were carried out, having the theoretical assumptions of the scholars Charles Bazerman (2006); Mikhail Bakhtin (1992), Luiz António Marcuschi (2005); Paulo Freira (1989) and Ingedore Grunfield Villaça Koch (2009). This work presents reflections in view of the stylistic and formal thematic dynamics, and of the communicative purposes that configure the reporting.
