Análise do quantitativo do efetivo do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar do Maranhão: realidade atual e tendência

Título: Análise do quantitativo do efetivo do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar do Maranhão: realidade atual e tendência
Abstact: The present study aimed to analyze the quantitative of the headcount of the Corpo de Bombeiros Militar do Maranhão - CBMMA. Therefore, the identification and study of the laws dealing with the body of work, as well as the history of entry of military staff in the Corporation to identify the discrepancy of the existing quantitative compared to that provided for by law, in addition, it was followed by verification of the proportion of inhabitants of the State of Maranhão per military firefighters and application of the calculation of the "norte-americano" system to the reality of the CBMMA. For that, the bibliographic and documentary research was used as a method for data collection, through the study raised in the reference and requests for information to the Diretoria de Pessoal do CBMMA. From the analysis carried out, it was possible to perceive that the CBMMA has an irregular entry of the praças class that culminated in an effective well below the expected, as well as the risk of a considerable increase in a lag
with the departure of military staff between the years of 2024 and 2025. Finally, through all the studies carried out, it was possible to illuminate the current situation and a trend close to the Corporation in order to promote the institution's self-knowledge and assist the decision-making process of the Public Administration.

Atendimento a emergências psiquiátricas pelo CBMMA: análise da necessidade de procedimento operacional padrão

Título: Atendimento a emergências psiquiátricas pelo CBMMA: análise da necessidade de procedimento operacional padrão
Abstact: The present study aimed to demonstrate the need for the implementation of a Standard
Operating Procedure for attending to psychiatric urgencies and emergencies by the
Military Fire Department of Maranhão. The ways developed to achieve this goal went
through the literature review on the theme of pre-hospital care to psychiatric urgencies
and emergencies, presentation of models of Standard Operating Procedures nationally
and demonstration of the need for improvement in the management of these services
by CBMMA. Thus, the method used for data collection was bibliographic research,
through the study of the theoretical reference on the care of psychiatric patients by
urgency and emergency services in Brazil. In addition, a documental research was
carried out with the purpose of outlining the common aspects of the Operational
Procedures practiced by the Fire Brigades in Brazil. Finally, an online questionnaire
was carried out, with a form created via the Google Forms platform and sent to the
military of the CBMMA, with the purpose of evaluating the psychiatric emergency care
provided by the Corporation. From the data analysis it was possible to verify that the
treatment of psychiatric emergencies has been based on humanized and less invasive
approaches, with valorization of the dialogue, integration of the security forces and
specialized medical follow-up. Moreover, it was observed that the CBMMA does not
have norms or documents that guide the care of psychiatric patients. Besides, the
military personnel do not have the security and adequate knowledge to act in this type
of occurrence. Furthermore, the lack of training and qualification was evident as a
potentiator of this problem. Finally, it was verified through this study that the
development of a Standard Operating Procedure and other guidelines for the care of
Psychiatric Emergencies by CBMMA can contribute to the reduction of misconduct,
response time and potential failures in this assistance

Perfil epidemiológico dos casos de afogamento nas principais praias de São Luís - MA entre o período de 2019 e 2022

Título: Perfil epidemiológico dos casos de afogamento nas principais praias de São Luís - MA entre o período de 2019 e 2022
Abstact: The present study aimed to identify the epidemiological profile of drowning cases
involving people frequenting the main beaches of São Luís attended by the Military
Fire Department of Maranhão and the Municipal Guard of São Luís. The information
was collected from the service books of both agencies. Data was also collected from
the Legal Medical Institute of Maranhão and the Integrated Center of Public Safety
Operations of the State of Maranhão for the purpose of capturing data from
occurrences of the same nature that were not accounted for in the first agencies. Data
were captured from the year 2019 to 2022, first semester. Two analyses were
performed due to the disparity of variables contained in the source sites, one of the
profile related to each source and another considering the variables common to all of
them. The predominant profile of the people who figured most as victims in drowning
cases, with and without death, were males inserted in the age range of sixteen to
twenty-five years. The beaches of Calhau, Olho d'água, and Araçagi were the scenario
where the most frequent cases occurred, on Sunday days, between 3:00 PM and 6:00
PM. At these times, it is suggested that bathers have a decreased capacity to evaluate
dangerous situations due to the use of alcohol or other substances that alter this
capacity. These pictures are similar to several studies in Brazil related to the subject
and reinforce the justification that this happens because of the greater exposure of
males to risks, due to the greater flow of people in the water at the end of the tour, the
reduced perception of risks related to individuals with less access to education and the
lower possibility of access to other forms of leisure

Título: Análise dos sistemas contra incêndio e emergência: estudo de caso no Terminal Rodoviário de São Luís
Abstact: Analysis of fire and emergency preventive measures at the São Luís Bus Station. Fire, in its initial phase or fully developed, can cause material damage and damage to human life. Given that fire and emergency preventive measures aim to hinder the spread of fire, provide means of combat, allow the quick and safe abandonment of the damaged building and facilitate the actions of the Military Fire Department, it becomes
so important to verify that the systems installed at the Bus Station are in compliance with the fire and emergency prevention project approved by the CBMMA Technical Activities Board. In addition, the present study will also analyze which ones comply with Law nº 11.390 of December 21, 2020, that governs the Fire Safety Regulation of the State of Maranhão and the requirements of the Technical Standards of the Military
Fire Brigade of Maranhão. The research was carried out through an on-site technical visit using the State Technical Standards and the fire and emergency prevention project of the Bus Station. Items that were in compliance or not with the CBMMA Technical Standards were analyzed, and proposals for adjustments were made for disagreements.
