Perfil do consumo de frutas nativas em feiras livres no município de São Luís - MA

Título: Perfil do consumo de frutas nativas em feiras livres no município de São Luís - MA
Abstact: The North and Northeast regions are a highly diversified biome, rich in fruits that have a sui-
generis flavor and can be consumed in natura or processed. Most of these fruits are rich in

vitamins, anthocyanins, flavonoids and have high antioxidant potential. Therefore, this research
was developed with the aim of surveying the population's knowledge of typical and exotic
fruits, in addition to verifying the profile of consumers and knowledge about the benefits of
these fruits. 75 people were interviewed, 15 from the São Bernardo fair, 15 from the Cohab fair,
15 from Feita do João Paulo, 15 from the Liberdade fair and 15 from the Cidade Operária fair,
who answered an individually structured questionnaire. It was found that guava is the best
known/consumed according to 66% of consumers in João Paulo and 53% in Cidade Operária
fair, followed by 60% consumption or knowledge of banana in Cohab fair, consumers in Feira
da freedom the majority, 40% answered that they consume or know tangerine. It showed that
67% of the São Bernardo fair both stated that they do not know how to differentiate these types
of fruits. It noticed that more preferences of consumers for fresh fruits, according to 53% of
consumers from São Bernardo and Cidade Operária, 60% from Cohab and João Paulo fairs and
74% from Liberdade fair. The results also show that 60% of the João Paulo fair, 73% of the
Cidade Operária fair, and 87% of the Cohab fair demonstrate that they consume the fruits daily.
Thus, 60% of São Bernardo state that yes, followed by 80% of the Cohab fair and 87% of the
João Paulo fair state that yes, they have the habit of including fruit in their diet. Thus, Cupuaçu
is preferred by all consumers, with 80% of the São Bernardo, João Paulo and Cidade Operária
fairs, 67% of the Liberdade fair and 60% of the Cohab fair showing total preference for the
fruit. However, consumers are still largely unaware of the diversity of fruits and processing
potential.

Análises genéticas dos componentes do fruto da pitombeira (Talisia esculenta, Radlk) no estado do Maranhão

Título: Análises genéticas dos componentes do fruto da pitombeira (Talisia esculenta, Radlk) no estado do Maranhão
Abstact: The pitomba tree (Talisia esculenta Radlk) is a plant belonging to the Sapindaceae
family and is native to Brazil. Its presence is identified from the Amazon region to the
Atlantic Forest, spanning from the Northeast to Rio de Janeiro, where it can reach up to
twelve meters in height. Its fruits are edible, flavorful, and widely consumed by both humans
and wildlife, especially in the Northern and Northeastern regions of the country, where they
are enjoyed fresh.Despite the aforementioned importance, the current pitomba production
chain is based on extractivism. To transform this species into a competitive crop, it is
necessary to domesticate the plant, starting with pre-breeding. Therefore, phenotypic selection
of pitomba fruits, targeting the desired characteristics, becomes essential. The objective of this
study was to characterize and genetically analyze ten different procedences of Talisia
esculenta (Pitomba) to obtain information that can be used in plant breeding programs. For
this study, pitomba fruits were obtained from three different locations: the mother plantation
at Fazenda Escola São Luís-FESL, in the municipality of Bequimão-MA, and in the

municipality of São José de Ribamar-MA. The fruits were brought and analyzed at the Post-
Harvest Laboratory- LAPOC, Agricultural Sciences Center- CCA at the State University of

Maranhão- UEMA.The analysis of variance was performed using the statistical program
GENES, and the means of the procedences were compared by the Tukey method at 5%
probability. The estimation of the correlation coefficient was calculated using the PEARSON
method. In the initial results, the highest values of the standard deviation indicated that there
was greater variance for fruit mass and volume, 13.94 and 14.05, and mass and volume of the
peel, 8.98 and 9.52, respectively, compared to the other evaluated characteristics. The
longitudinal fruit diameter ranged from 22.98mm to 30.92mm, with an average of 26.99mm,
and the transverse fruit diameter ranged from 19.15mm to 28.23mm, with an average of
23.35mm, respectively. These characteristics determine the size and shape of the
fruit.Regarding the coefficients, it can be observed that the heritability values were high,
notably for the peel mass (h2 = 91.642) and pulp yield (h2 = 92.2149), indicating that
effective selection for these characteristics can be performed. All heritability coefficients
found in this study were above 50%. The components of Talisia esculenta seed showed
phenotypic variability, which is of great importance for plant breeding, as this result may
indicate the use of mass selection for economically-interesting characteristics. Existing
correlations between some characteristics and pulp yield can be used to facilitate the selection
of this trait.

Abstact: The present research entitled Audiovisual Resources in the Continuing Education of Teachers
in Bengo-Angola: proposal of a website in the OER format for Kimamuenho Teachers' School
arises from the inadequacies in the use of audiovisual resources by teachers in the
aforementioned school. These inadequacies are related to the weak emphasis on the
comprehensive training of teachers, school equipment, working conditions, low remuneration,
and many other aspects. The general aim of the research is to understand how the
development of a website, in the OER format, can contribute to the use of audiovisual
resources in the continuing education of teachers at Kimamuenho. To achieve this, a
qualitative approach was adopted in applied research, of a descriptive-interpretative nature,
assuming a diagnostic character with a proposed intervention, while in terms of technical data
collection procedures, it is empirical and bibliographic. The results show that, from the
managers' perspective, there are significant structural limitations, such as insufficient
technological equipment, restricted internet access, and a lack of consistent institutional
policies for technological training. The teachers, on the other hand, point to difficulties related
to insufficient training in the use of audiovisuals and the predominance of traditional practices
centered on theory. Both groups recognize the importance of audiovisual resources to make
teaching more dynamic and to promote meaningful learning. Given this scenario, the research
resulted in the proposal of a website in the OER format for the development of pedagogical
and technological knowledge among teachers, aiming for greater integration between theory
and practice in the classrooms, the encouragement of pedagogical innovation, and changes in
teachers' practices in the classrooms.
