Abstract

This research aims to present an analysis of St. Augustine's problem of free will that extends to the present day. Augustine wrote a treatise entitled Free Will, in which, through a dialogue, he dedicated himself to answering problems that had been present in his life since his youth. In this way, this treatise was the main object to answer the problem: God created man and all things, therefore he is the author of free will, so, strictly speaking, is God the author of evil? Indepth studies on this problematic have set out to investigate the contextual and objective reasons which undertake the Augustinian investigation on free will, in the same way as it sought to find the theoretical-argumentative foundations by which the thesis underlies and finally to investigate how Grace is associated with the free will
