Abstract

Playing has always been part of the children's universe and there is a primary need for children to have direct contact with games and games that establish a link between them and learning. In view of this need, the present study aimed to describe the influence of games and games on children's cognitive learning, as well as to highlight playful elements that stimulate creativity, leadership, critical thinking, responsibility and children's autonomy. As a research methodology, we opted for a bibliographic research supported by a literature review with legal and normative documents and authors that deal with this theme. As a highlight, there is the Law of Directives and Bases of National Education – LDB nº 9394/96 (1996); National Curricular Common Base – BNCC (2018); Elkoin (2008); Brougere (2005); Freire (2005); Kishimoto (2007); Piaget (2007), Vygotsky (2008), among others, with the intention that the problem raised be answered with clarity and objectivity. The result of the research pointed to the affirmation that games and games as playful-pedagogical tools contribute massively to the development of children's learning in early childhood education. It was possible to notice that the use of these resources is really viable in this development, but it is necessary that there is an intentional and directed teacher training and practice, especially in contemporary times, where digital resources have been installed quickly, causing substantial changes in the scenario. education, culminating in new ways of conceiving the teaching-learning process and classroom dynamics.
