Resumo: A total of thirty crossbreed male goats were evaluated. Two reproductive exams were performed at an interval of 10 d. To characterize testicular blood flow, ultrasound examinations were conducted. Bidimentional ultrasonography was performed to identify testicular structures. The study of testicular blood flow and hemodynamics was made by spectral and color Doppler. Andrological and sperm traits were evaluated by breeding soundness evaluation (BCS). The correlation coefficients between ultrasound and andrological responses was performed by PRO CORR of SAS®. The effects of categorical variables (animal, testis and BSC session) on the response variables, and their interactions were analyzed by ANOVA and compared by the Student t test (PROC GLM) (parametric) or by Wilcoxon test (PROC Npar1way WILCOXON) (not - paramétricas), with 5% significance. The hemodynamic characteristics of right and left testes were similar (P> 0.05). The same was observed when comparing the samples 1 and 2. High significant correlation were observed between parenchyma and testicular doppler data. In general, the correlation between Doppler, age and scrotal circumference was high, with r values ranging from 0.68 to 0.36 and P values ranging from <0.005 to <.000. There were no significant correlations between sperm characteristics and Doppler data. The Doppler is a complementary tool to evaluate reproductive traits of male goats, reporting architecture and testicular vascular flow and making it possible to diagnose diseases that can compromise the reproductive potential. In conclusion, were found high correlation between the vascular flows of plexus and testicular parenchyma, between Doppler data and testicular development, but not in between Doppler data and semen characteristics of male goats.
