The objective of this work was to investigate the territory through Participatory mapping, using a methodology with conceptual elements if the action research. Thus, intended to meet the desire of the population regarding the use of the map as a tool for spatial and social representation, from their own territorialities, in addition to contributing to other studies on the subject, especially in the practice of technical advice in the field of architecture, urbanism and planning.
