Caracterização epidemiológica da toxoplasmose gestacional no Maranhão

Título: Caracterização epidemiológica da toxoplasmose gestacional no Maranhão
Abstact: Toxoplasmosis, a disease caused by the protozoan Toxoplasma gondii, is transmitted between
animals and humans, presenting high infection rates in Brazil and worldwide. This infection
can be passed from mother to fetus, characterizing gestational toxoplasmosis, which can cause
serious complications for the developing fetus. The aim of the study is to characterize
gestational toxoplasmosis in the state of Maranhão. This is an ecological and retrospective
study. Data were obtained from notifications in the database of the Department of Informatics
of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), using notifications corresponding to the
Information System for Notifiable Diseases (SINAM) related to gestational toxoplasmosis.
Thus, data from the last five years were used. A total of 1,387 cases of gestational toxoplasmosis
were found in the state of Maranhão, with 61.93% confirmed, predominantly in the year 2022.
The profile of cases consisted mostly of women of childbearing age, of mixed race, with
completed secondary education, and predominantly in the second trimester of pregnancy.
Among the characteristics observed, the presence of the majority of women of childbearing age,
predominantly of mixed race and with completed secondary education, emerges as the most
affected group. This highlights the need for educational programs to reach all social strata,
especially during pregnancy

Abstact: Cervical cancer represents a global concern due to its impact on women's health, with HPV
being a significant risk factor. Prevention of this cancer involves measures such as vaccination
and undergoing screenings like the Pap smear. The aim of the study is to analyze the nurse's
role in cervical cancer prevention within the context of primary healthcare, through an
Integrative Literature Review. A thorough search was conducted in established academic
databases, including LILACS, BDENF, and MEDLINE, available in the BVS database. The
results highlighted the important role of nurses in cervical cancer prevention, through
interventions such as health education and screenings. However, there are still gaps in women's
knowledge and attitudes towards prevention, emphasizing the ongoing need for interventions
to improve screening adherence and reduce the incidence and mortality of this disease. In
conclusion, this study reinforces the importance of the nurse's role in cervical cancer prevention,
integrating nursing as a crucial element in promoting women's health, and underscores the need
to strengthen education and awareness strategies to enhance screening adherence and improve
women's health outcomes

Abstact: Introduction: COVID-19 has a high level of lethality in the elderly population, in this
context, social distancing emerges as a crucial measure both to mitigate the spread of the
Coronavirus in society and to protect the elderly population, which is in the group considered
greater vulnerability, however, this measure brings great harm to the biopsychosocial health
of this population. Objective: To analyze the scientific literature on biopsychosocial care for
the elderly population in the face of the repercussions of loneliness and social isolation during
the COVID-19 pandemic and understand the impacts of these phenomena on the physical,
emotional, psychological and social health of the elderly population. Methodology: This is a
scoping review, carried out between February and March 2024 through consultations with the
MEDLINE database via PubMed, the Web of Science via the CAPES Portal, LILACS and
BDENF accessed through the Virtual Health Library (BVS), for the search, descriptors from
DeCS and MeSH were used, which were combined with Boolean operators. In the initial
search, 904 articles were found, however, only 15 of these articles met the established
inclusion criteria and were considered eligible to be included in the review. Result: Of the
studies included, the majority were composed of original articles, 40% of which were
identified on the Web of Science, with a greater number of publications in Brazil (40%) and a
greater prevalence of studies launched in 2022 (40%). The majority of research was
characterized as cohort studies, representing 26.67% and the use of the quantitative method in
60% of the studies. When analyzing the studies aiming to answer the central question,
recurring patterns and themes were identified in the chosen articles, which were categorized
into three thematic groups, as well as: “Perceptions of the elderly about social distancing”,
“Repercussion of loneliness and social distancing in aspects biopsychosocial care in the
elderly population in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic” and “Biopsychosocial care for
the elderly population in the face of loneliness and social isolation”. Conclusion: The study
allowed us to analyze the main care mentioned in the literature, addressing the
biopsychosocial dimensions of care for the elderly population under the effects of social
isolation during the pandemic, which include interventions that promote resilience,
encouraging safe social contact and strengthening the support network , use of technology and
remote educational interventions, encouraging the practice of physical activities and self-care,
in addition to the implementation of telemedicine and multidisciplinary monitoring in PHC,
mainly with nurses. Furthermore, the study made it possible to understand the impacts of
social isolation and loneliness in the context of COVID-19 on the physical, emotional,
psychological and social health of the elderly population

Título: Avaliação do consumo de bebidas alcoólicas entre estudantes Universitários: uma revisão prospectiva
Abstact: For centuries, alcohol consumption has been seen as a legal and socially acceptable
habit, associated with immediate gratification and relaxation. It causes a large
number of deaths and disability, being in third place in the ranking of morbidity and
mortality risk, behind hypertension and smoking. The objective of this work is to carry
out a survey on the consumption of beverages in university students. This is a
prospective study of a bibliographic nature, constituting a literature review on the
consumption of drinks in university students, in addition to being a bibliometric
research that can be understood as a quantitative evaluation technique, with the
objective of measuring the dissemination of scientific knowledge and the flow of
information from some point of view. in the year 2022 there was a greater number of
publications in the three databases with the descriptor “University students”, with an
average of 35 articles, with the descriptor “Alcohol consumption” the year 2020 had
the highest publication average considering, in addition Furthermore, this year was
the only one in which an article was published referring to this descriptor in the Web
of Science database. Therefore, it is important to inform university students about the
risks of alcohol consumption and ask their motivations for consuming alcoholic
beverages. This is extremely important for the development of the health of future
professionals who are in training
