In this sense, school and family play a fundamental role in the education of children and young people. Furthermore, the family and the school need to work together for the student to be successful in their school career. The aim of this study was to understand the level of parental involvement in their children's school life, as well as their perception of Biology content. The research was qualitative and quantitative in nature, using a semi-structured questionnaire, in which 60 parents of students from three classes of the 3rd year of high school at the C.E. Dep. Luis Rocha school, in the city of Santa Helena, in Maranhão, were interviewed. . The data obtained revealed that the majority of fathers and mothers are single 3 83.33%, fishermen 3 60% and with incomplete basic education. Fathers and mothers said they participated in their children's school life, especially by checking grades and participating in meetings. In the analysis of the parents' perception regarding the Biology subject, it was found that the majority do not know what is taught in the subject 3 62%, and among the topics listed to say which ones they know about, the most mentioned was global warming. 80% of those interviewed said they were not opposed to what is taught in the subject, but the remainder stated that the school should avoid covering topics such as sexual education and vaccines. Despite little knowledge about the subject, around 73% consider Biology important for their children's careers in areas related to health. In this sense, family, school and teacher must go hand in hand in relation to the student's learning process, thus allowing their critical awareness. Therefore, education for citizenship is an essential element to leverage this teaching process, as it enables a focus on human emancipation. Due to this estimate, the bases that promote learning for students need to have a democratic, participatory, autonomous and critical conception. In this way, this research corresponds to a related study on the teachers' point of view regarding citizenship education, in a regular municipal school in the city of Pinheiro – MA. It refers to an exploratory study, intending a qualitative approach. This research involved the participation of 08 teachers working in primary education in the early years. Through the questionnaire applied, it was possible to recognize what teachers perceive in relation to the content on citizenship. Maria Paiva Abreu em Pinheiro-MA Abstact: The present study, whose theme addressed literacy and literacy in 1st and 2nd year elementary school, had the general objective of understanding how some teachers practice reading and writing from the perspective of literacy and literacy. Specifically, it was intended to describe the conceptions of literacy and literacy as introductory elements of the action of teaching a child to read and write; show a brief history of these two processes in the state of Maranhão, and; characterize the research school, as well as the sampling and analysis of the results obtained. The paths of the research were covered in the face of the object of interest and viable possibilities for its development, for which it relied on a descriptive and exploratory research. Descriptive for exposing and interpreting the information contained in the consulted theoretical references, namely Soares (2011), Soares (2010), Ferreiro and Teberosky (2005), Kleiman (2005), Tfouni (2010), among others. Exploratory for enabling greater familiarization between the researcher and the researched object. Direct contact with the object gave a result considered satisfactory, which became possible through field work, in which four teachers who work in the first two years of elementary school were surveyed, they were able to give their contributions regarding literacy from the literacy perspective and thus understand the dynamics of literacy using social literacy practices. Emotion is inseparable from the human being; understanding them is fundamental for social relations and for any activity that the individual needs to carry out. The university environment is challenging in several aspects, especially with regard to reconciling it with personal, professional and/or family life. In this sense, emotional balance is an essential and determining factor in this process. Therefore, we will analyze here how the emotional balance of university students at the State University of Maranhão – UEMA, Centro de Estudos Superiores de Pinheiro – CESPI, interferes in their teaching-learning process. To carry out this work, we used the following methodologies: bibliographic research, field research, descriptive research, in addition to a qualitative and quantitative approach. Field research was carried out with CESPI university students. The applied questionnaire was developed from the google form tool, which is an digital tool where it is possible to collect data instantly. This research is divided into four sessions, where each one brings chronological approaches that are essential for understanding the theme addressed here. Thus, in the first session we approach the historical and organic context of human emotions; in the second session we discussed emotional balance and its need in human life; in the third session we address the importance of emotional balance within the teaching-learning process and in the fourth session we bring the analysis and discussion of the collected data.
