Abstact: The cotton plant crop presents high sensitivity to water deficit, which compromises its
development and productivity. In this context, the present study had as objective to
evaluate the effects of the cotton seed treatment with Bacillus aryabhattai and Arbolina
on germination, emergence, rooting, development and productivity of the crop submitted
to water stress. The experiment was conducted on a laboratory and a greenhouse, utilizing
BRS 700 B3RF cultivar seeds. The experimental design adopted was completely
randomized in a 2 × 4 × 2 factorial scheme, considering the presence or absence of
Bacillus aryabhattai (Auras️) inoculation, four doses of Arbolina (0, 2, 4 e 8 mL kg⁻¹ of
seed) and two water regimes (irrigated and deficit). The analyzed variables included
germination and emergence rates, emergence The cotton plant crop presents high
sensitivity to water deficit, which compromises its speed index, shoot and root systems
dry mass, as well as the plant development under water stress conditions. The laboratory
results indicated a significant effect of Auras (Bacillus aryabhattai) and Arbolina
treatments on germination and root development, with the 4 ml kg⁻¹ Auras dose showing
the highest germination percentage. The interaction between the factors significantly
influenced the seedling emergence and the germination speed index. Complementary
studies will be conducted to evaluate the impacts on the final crop productivity.

Título: O uso de drone na avaliação da distribuição longitudinal de plantas de milho (zea mays l) semeadas com uma semeadora tração humana
Abstact: Precision agriculture has expanded with the use of technologies such as drones, enabling
efficient crop monitoring. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of a human-powered
seeder in the longitudinal distribution of maize (Zea mays L.) seeds using aerial images
captured by a drone. The experiment was conducted under no-tillage conditions in Bom Lugar
– Maranhão, Brazil. DJI Mini 3 drone flights were carried out at different phenological stages
of the crop, generating orthomosaics and Digital Elevation Models (DEM) using Agisoft
Metashape software. Planting failures were estimated through supervised classification in the
SPRING software, allowing the identification of plantability gaps, stand uniformity issues,
and operational deficiencies in the seeder. The results demonstrated that drone technology is
effective for diagnostics and agronomic decision-making in small-scale farming systems,
contributing to resource optimization and increased productivity.

Efeitos subletais do óleo fixo de algodão (Gossypium hirsutum. L) ao ácaro predador Amblyseius largoensis muma (Acari: Phytoseiidae)

Título: Efeitos subletais do óleo fixo de algodão (Gossypium hirsutum. L) ao ácaro predador Amblyseius largoensis muma (Acari: Phytoseiidae)
Abstact: In addition to the use of predators in the biological control of R. indica, botanical products such
as fixed oils have been tested in the laboratory. In this context, the objective of this study was
to determine the ovicidal effect of 50% and 80% lethal concentrations (LCs) of fixed cottonseed
oil on R. indica and the predatory mite Amblyseius largoensis Hirst (Acari: Phytoseiidae), as
well as the sublethal effects of LC80 on the functional and numerical response and
instantaneous growth rate of the predatory mite. To evaluate the effects of fixed cottonseed oil
on Raoiella indica and Amblyseius largoensis, bioassays were conducted using the previously
determined lethal concentrations LC₅₀ and LC₈₀. The ovicidal effect was tested by spraying the
oil on R. indica and A. largoensis eggs, with egg hatching evaluated β4 and 144 hours after
application, respectively. To analyze the functional and numerical response of A. largoensis,
females after β4 hours of fasting were subjected to different densities of R. indica eggs and
immatures, evaluating predation within β4 hours and oviposition at β4 and 48 hours. Regarding
the predator's population growth rate, arenas containing four females and one male fed ad
libitum with all stages of R. indica, also sprayed with CL₈₀, were evaluated for seven days. A.
largoensis fed with exposed and unexposed eggs, as well as with immatures not exposed to
CL₈₀, showed a type II functional response; however, when feeding on immatures exposed to
CL₈₀, the functional response was altered to type III. Furthermore, exposure to oil significantly
reduced predator oviposition and egg viability, when compared to the other results with
oviposition at the highest density offered under the effect of oil. Furthermore, it negatively
impacted its population growth rate compared to the control treatment. Fixed cottonseed oil
caused sublethal effects on A. largoensis, reducing its reproduction and development. However,
the predator demonstrated behavioral plasticity, shifting its functional response from type II to
type III when feeding on sprayed immatures. This indicates potential use in controlling R.
indica, especially in the egg stage

Título: Potencial dos biossólidos como substratos na produção de mudas do açaizeiro BRS Pai d'Égua (Euterpe oleracea Mart.)
Abstact: This study evaluated the effectiveness of using biosolids as a substrate in
seedling production of the açaí cultivar BRS Pai d'Égua (Euterpe oleracea Mart.), focusing on
its effects on growth. The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design
(RBD) with 17 treatments and four replicates, totaling 68 experimental units. Treatments
consisted of different proportions of biosolids, alone or in combination with cattle manure, soil,
commercial substrate, and soil-manure mixture, as well as controls without biosolids. Statistical
analysis was performed using the Scott–Knott test at 5% probability, using R software.
Treatments T11 (50% biosolids + 50% commercial substrate) and T14 (75% biosolids + 25%
soil + manure) provided the highest values of height, stem diameter, height/diameter (H/D)
ratio, SPAD index, and leaf pigment concentration. It is concluded that the use of biosolids,
alone or in mixtures, represents a viable and environmentally sustainable technical alternative
for the production of açaí seedlings.
