Abstact: The Amazon region, rich in biodiversity and essential for global climate regulation, has
been the target of growing interest in oil exploration, particularly in the Brazilian
Equatorial Margin. This activity poses significant challenges to the balance between
economic development and socio-environmental protection, especially given the fragility
of ecosystems and the presence of indigenous peoples and traditional communities. This
article analyzes the main impacts of oil exploration in the Amazon in light of Brazilian
environmental legislation, identifying regulatory gaps, enforcement difficulties, and
social conflicts arising from the activity. The research highlights the urgency of more
effective legal mechanisms capable of ensuring the sustainability of the region and respect
for the constitutional rights of local populations

Título: Cuidados paliativos no Brasil e a efetividade do Direito à saúde digna: limites jurídicos da política nacional de cuidados paliativos
Abstact: The increase in life expectancy, the rise in chronic diseases, and technological advances
in medicine have significantly transformed the way society has addressed processes of
illness, suffering, and end-of-life care. In this context, palliative care has gained
increasing relevance in both the legal and healthcare fields, particularly due to its
connection with the fundamental rights to health, human dignity, and patient autonomy.
This study analyzed the extent to which the legal and institutional limitations of the
National Palliative Care Policy have affected the effectiveness of the right to health in
Brazil, especially in situations related to end-of-life care. The research was based on the
hypothesis that, despite the normative advances achieved in recent decades, the policy
still presented legal, financial, and institutional weaknesses capable of hindering its
implementation and increasing inequalities in access to services. The general objective
was to analyze the legal and institutional limits of the National Palliative Care Policy in
light of the fundamental rights to health, human dignity, and patient autonomy. To achieve
this objective, the deductive method was adopted, with a qualitative approach, through
bibliographic and documentary research based on the analysis of legislation, normative
acts, and specialized literature. The findings demonstrated that, although the policy
represents an important step toward the incorporation of Palliative Care into the
Brazilian Unified Health System, its effectiveness has remained compromised by the
absence of specific federal legislation, the fragility of federal coordination mechanisms,
the chronic underfunding of public healthcare, and regional inequalities in service
provision. It was concluded that the effectiveness of the National Palliative Care Policy
depends on the strengthening of its legal, financial, and institutional instruments, an
essential condition for the realization of the fundamental right to health.

Título: Dignidade da pessoa humana e o transconstitucionalismo na homologação de decisões estrangeiras pelo Superior Tribunal de Justiça
Abstact: This article examines the centrality of human dignity as a limiting and guiding principle
in the recognition of foreign judgments by the Brazilian Superior Court of Justice (STJ),

in light of the theory of transconstitutionalism developed by Marcelo Neves. The problem arises from the inevitable encounter between distinct legal orders in a context of

growing judicial globalization: when the STJ is called upon to grant effect to a judgment
rendered in another country, it does not perform a merely formal act, but exercises an

axiological compatibility judgment between normative systems that may hold very different understandings of what is just, legitimate and human. To address this tension,

the article draws on the conceptual triad developed by Luís Roberto Barroso intrinsic
value, autonomy and communitarian value as the minimum and non-negotiable content
of human dignity, and on Neves' transconstitutional model as the theoretical framework
that explains why dialogue between legal systems, without being hierarchical, requires

axiological anchoring points capable of withstanding the pressure of normative diversity. The methodology is qualitative, deductive and bibliographic-documental, with

analysis of STJ case law in foreign judgment proceedings. It is concluded that human
dignity operates as a clause of constitutional resistance, limiting the effect of foreign
decisions that, although valid in their original order, violate the essential core of the
fundamental rights enshrined in the 1988 Constitution.

Título: Os aplicativos digitais utilizados como recurso de enfrentamento à violência doméstica e familiar prevista na Lei Maria da Penha
Abstact: Domestic and family violence against women is one of the most serious violations of human
rights, requiring the implementation of mechanisms that increase victims' access to information,
protection, and justice. In this context, the objective of this study is to evaluate how the PenhaS,
SOS Maria da Penha, and SP Mulher applications contribute to combating domestic and family
violence against women. The research is qualitative, quantitative, exploratory, and descriptive
in nature, conducted through bibliographic and documentary studies. Data collection is carried
out through the analysis of the functionalities offered by the applications, as well as publicly
accessible information in the Google Play Store and App Store, such as the number of
downloads, user ratings, and comments. The results show that the analyzed platforms have the
potential to strengthen the protection network for women, providing resources focused on
guidance, support, safety planning, communication with trusted contacts, geolocation of
specialized services, and access to reporting mechanisms. It is observed that the PenhaS app
stands out for its variety of resources aimed at support and prevention, while SOS Maria da
Penha focuses more on guiding users and accessing public policies. On the other hand, SP
Mulher shows greater coordination with government entities responsible for protecting victims.
The analyzed apps are important tools for combating domestic and family violence against
women, as they broaden access to information and protection services. However, their
effectiveness depends on the technical quality of the platforms and the collaboration of the
institutional support network.
