Título: Entre ruelas e arranha-céus: uma análise arquitetônica e urbanística da cidade fictícia de Gotham baseada nas principais animações e filmes do universo da DC comics
Abstact: This work aims to establish a connection between the fields of Architecture and Urbanism and
Cinema. Both disciplines share the ability to transform space into environments and places;
while architecture and urbanism act upon the real city, cinema shapes scenarios for imaginary
cities. Indeed, the filmmaker must possess a certain knowledge that, based on personal life
experiences, enables an understanding of how a city functions — even if it is fictional. In this
sense, the relationship between these fields will be explored, beginning with a brief overview
of the history of cinema and animation, its key figures, avant-garde movements, and the
essential role that architecture and urbanism play in the creation of cinematic worlds. To
understand how a city-cinema operates, it is necessary to reflect on the origin of cities and their
evolution from prehistoric times to the present day. The way individuals perceive the city — as
a space of memory, belonging, resistance, and cultural expression — will also be discussed.
Among these various urban interpretations, imagined cities stand out, particularly the so-called
cinematic cities. The case study of this research is Gotham City, a recurring setting in comic
books, animations, and films featuring the superhero Batman, from the DC Comics universe.
The analysis will examine the origin and development of this fictional city, highlighting its main
architectural and urban elements, as well as how Batman himself interacts with the urban space
as a heroic figure. Moreover, selected animations and films will be analyzed to emphasize the
architectural styles and urban layout of Gotham City. Therefore, this study seeks to demonstrate
that cinematic cities can serve as meaningful objects of study, as they reflect aspects of real
urban environments, and that architecture and urbanism are fundamental tools in the
construction of cinematic worlds, reinforcing their importance within the seventh art.

Título: Águas Profundas, Raízes Antigas: trajetórias etnográficas pela Arquitetura Vernacular Palafítica nas Estearias em Penalva - Maranhão.
Abstact: This paper addresses the vernacular stilt architecture of the Baixada Maranhense region,
focusing on the stilt houses of the municipality of Penalva, Maranhão. The research investigates
pre-colonial stilt archaeological sites, highlighting their architectural characteristics, historical
and cultural context, and the relationship of these structures with local communities. The study
seeks to value this heritage and highlight its importance in the architectural and anthropological
scenario. Vernacular stilt architecture, present in several parts of the world, represents an
adaptive model of territorial occupation, especially in lake environments. In Brazil, the stilt
houses of Baixada Maranhense are a significant example of this construction tradition, dating
back to ancient indigenous populations that inhabited the region. These constructions, often
underestimated, are essential to understanding the interaction between society and the
environment, in addition to contributing to the preservation of historical and cultural heritage.
The research adopts an interdisciplinary methodological approach, combining bibliographic
review, case study and field research. The research includes a survey of academic and
iconographic sources, an analysis of the main stilt settlements around the world, and
documentation of the Penalva stearias. On-site observation and contact with the community
were essential to understanding the continuity of these construction practices in contemporary
times. As a practical contribution, the study proposes the development of an educational booklet
on the Penalva stearias, aiming to disseminate the knowledge acquired and strengthen the
appreciation of vernacular stilt architecture. The work highlights the relevance of this
architecture as part of Brazilian cultural heritage and reinforces the need for its preservation for
future generations.

Abstact: Agile methodologies play a fundamental role in project management performance, and through
their application in the completion of stages, they become more visible and achievable, through
organization and, consequently, better time management by achieving quality delivery on time.
Therefore, the proposal to apply them to a Sacada Arquitetura Júnior project as an object of
study arose due to an internal need of the company itself to have a project management
methodology for organizing and monitoring the execution teams, ensuring quality delivery by
combining frequent communication between the members responsible for preparing the project,
the client's participation in approval meetings according to the dates stipulated in each stage of
the schedule, and reviews with the advisor, promoting transparency and security in the service
being offered. Within the universe of agile methodologies, Scrum, an agile management
methodology that helps teams to self-organize and deliver projects efficiently based on a set of
practices, which include meetings, tools and functions, and Kanban, an agile tool that allows
monitoring tasks, identifying bottlenecks in the workflow, optimizing development processes
and improving team collaboration, were the two approaches chosen to be applied in Sacada's
Arquitetura Júnior project management. As a final product, a table created using the Excel
charting tool will be presented, which allows for better visualization and evaluation of data that
can be used as a facilitating agent in project management, generating different chart models,
assisting in the presentation of results.

Título: A reminiscência da terra: a arquitetura popular autoproduzida em Barreirinhas - MA
Abstact: The main objective of this study is to understand how self-built popular architecture, when
supported by traditional construction techniques – such as adobe and wattle and daub – shapes
identity and a sense of belonging within communities in Barreirinhas, Maranhão. For this
investigation, the methodology followed a qualitative and exploratory approach, including
bibliographic research and fieldwork, with data collection through interviews, photographs,
and illustrations. Local narratives are employed to analyze the construction process – as a
crucial aspect of self-identification and territoriality – through two self-built homes: the
House of the Marias, narrated by five sisters, and the House of Conceição and Chagas,
recounted by a couple native to the village of Varas. Ultimately, the study aimed to produce a
symbolic, visual, and verbal material, featuring poetic syntheses of collected accounts. In
doing so, it seeks to value and preserve the memory of historically marginalized communities,
contributing to the safeguarding of intergenerational knowledge tied to sociocultural
resistance.
